Want to lose weight…. Avoid processed food, avoid take-away food, avoid red meat, avoid fat, avoid chocolate….. avoid late night snacks…., avoid dinner with friends…. avoid… avoid…. avoid….


Try this diet…when that doesn’t work try this diet...then this...then that and oh…I’ve got another diet you can try.  Of course they don’t come free…but its only $5 dollars a day…about the cost of a cup of coffee.


Get the message.  Starve to be healthy….


Get fit….Exercise….Keep your gym membership up to date…pay hundreds…


And oh… look smart… there is a wonderful store downtown that specialises in the latest apparel…with head bands to measure and…..


Months later….


You have poured litres of sweat performing the necessary drills, you have been attentive to your instructor’s comments, you google as much info as possible, you have sacrificed your social life….but you feel more tired than ever…


You’re exhausted, you’re lonely, your budget is even tighter…but you’re still obese!!! (Even if you do manage to lose 10kgs…. don’t kid yourself…on the inside you’re obese, and in many cases your health is no better and probably worse off…).  The kilos will return quicker than ever and they will be more difficult to remove….  But wait your best friend (the TV) heard a whisper of a new diet…


By now you wonder whether anybody gets any benefit from all this stuff…and how.  “….what am I doing wrong?”, you say…..sorry nobody does anything wrong….its that some of us do not do things right…..  Got the difference…?!
